Using this powerful home-made puller to remove a large bearing or gear from the shaft will not be a problem. You don’t even need to strain.
To make such a puller is also quite simple. However, some operations will require a lathe.
First of all, a disk of a suitable diameter will need to be cut from a piece of metal. In the center, drill a hole. For this, the author uses a metal crown.
Next, you will need two large nuts. They need to be welded together to make an elongated nut. Then we weld an elongated nut to a previously cut disk.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author cuts off three pieces of the round timber. They will need to drill one hole. It is more convenient to do this on a drilling machine.
Then you need to cut nine blanks from a steel strip. Six of them must be welded to the disk - these will be "ears". The remaining three are welded to the rounds.
The pieces of metal on the rounds will act as hooks. After that, we proceed to the assembly of the main part of the structure.
The author makes a puller screw out of a large bolt. This work is done on a lathe. Then we install the screw in the helm for the valve.
Next, we assemble the entire structure. Then it remains only to paint it (you can not paint it - at your discretion).
