A very simple design in the literal sense is "cheap", it will take a minimum of costs and time for its construction.
All you need is bamboo (wooden) skewers, which you can buy in culinary stores. And glue on wood, such as PVA. Well, I do not take into account the light bulb with the wire.
Making a garden light
So, take the skewers and glue an even square frame. It sets the entire shape of the lamp, so it needs to be glued especially evenly.
This frame is glued from the same skewers, cut to 2 centimeters, so that the side sticks stick out, setting the unusual shape of the lamp.
After the frame dries, we proceed to the manufacture of the walls. To do this, mark each skewer with a pencil, denoting a centimeter indent on each side.
With the same glue, we begin to stick the sticks. First, one stick on one side, then the second on the opposite. And the third and fourth from the side. Sticks fall on each other.
Continue sticking the sticks until full.
At the end, we glue two parallel skewers that will hold our ceiling on the bulb wire.
Then we pass the wire of the bulb and hang the lamp.
It looks very cool. I recommend doing two of them, and preferably four, and there is more light and comfort.
In conclusion, I can advise you to paint the lamp from an aerosol spray can with white or other paint. It will look even better. And to ask even more riddles and strengthen the eastern direction, you can cut out the Chinese character from paper, attach it to the lamp and sprinkle it with paint. Then remove the paper so that the outline of the character remains on the ceiling. It will be just gorgeous.
Of course, everything can be left as such. And it’s better, for better safety, to cover the lamp with transparent varnish on wood, then it is enough for more than one season and wooden sticks will not lose their color and do not turn black.
