To make your own hands a simple platform with two guides for installing an angle grinder (grinder), you can use improvised materials for this. For example, profile pipes of rectangular cross section and two feathers of a fork from a motorcycle or moped, which can be obtained at a metal intake.
Such a home-made platform with guides does not take up much space in the workshop or garage, and if necessary, it can easily be moved to another place. The stand is attached to the surface of the table or workbench using self-tapping screws.
The main stages of work
First of all, it will be necessary to disassemble the two feathers of the moped fork and remove the inner pipes, which are perfect as guides for this homemade product. You will also need two pieces of a rectangular profile pipe and a pair of bushings with grooves inside.
Then it will be necessary to mark, screw and drill holes in the workpieces for the stud or long bolts. All structural elements will need to be connected together. But before that, we drill two holes in the bushings themselves in order to fix the plate on them.
This unit will perform the function of a movable carriage for an angle grinder. To the grinder itself we fasten a piece of a corner made of a piece of a plate, after which you need to weld a loop. The other end of the loop is welded to the plate.
