For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need a steel plate 10 mm thick and a short length of pipe of suitable diameter. If such materials are not at hand, then they can always be inexpensively bought at any scrap metal collection point. From the tool you need only a grinder and a welding machine.
The main stages of work
First of all, a steel plate with a length of about 30-40 cm must be cut exactly in half, and then grind the surface on both sides with a grinder. Also, two more square-shaped metal blanks will be required (can be cut from the same plate with a thickness of 10 mm). Then we weld all the parts into a single design.
After completing all welding work, it is imperative that the weld seams be cleaned very well with a grinding disc so that the surface is ultimately smooth and even. It's just that you can make a "home" mold for the manufacture of steel clamps of the diameter you need.
As a basis for clamps, steel strips or plates of suitable sizes can be used - and clamps can be made not only of different diameters, but also from various materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.). With a hydraulic press, this job will take a minimum of time.
