However, grinding with the tape itself is not convenient, therefore, to facilitate the sanding process, you can make a simple wooden grater.

A homemade sanding grater with an end lock is good in that it allows you to reliably hold sandpaper. And if necessary, sandpaper is quite easy to replace - it takes a minimum of time. And also such a grater is convenient to use. Yes, and make it very simple, no need to spend money on buying graters in the store.

Grater for grinding work from a bar 23x7 cm

As a basis we will use the most ordinary wooden block of a rectangular shape with dimensions 23x7 cm and a thickness of about 30 mm. Using a grinding disc on the grinder, slightly round the edges of the workpiece. Further on the sides of the wooden block we make small indentations for the fingers, and in the end part we make a deep groove for the entire width.

At the next stage, measure the length of the sanding belt and cut off the desired piece of sandpaper with scissors. At the end of the bar we drill a hole for the bolt. We screw the bolt into the hole, cut off the hat and additionally fix it with glue. We put a strip on a wooden grater, start the edges in a groove, press it with a wooden block and press it with a wing nut.

The result is a simple, inexpensive, but very easy to use wooden grater for grinding with a lock. The detailed manufacturing process of this homemade product can be seen in the video on the website.
