Want to change the boring interior a bit to make it unusual and original? DIY a stylish night lamp made of epoxy resin and wood. Such an element of decor will be the main focus of the bedroom.
To make a homemade lamp you will need the following materials: sealant, plexiglass, wood, glue and epoxy. All these materials can be found without any problems in any hardware store.
First of all, we take a part of the cut-out whetstone from the broken side. From plexiglass with a knife and a metal ruler, we cut out the details according to the dimensions of the sides of the workpiece. Apply glue in the corners. Glue the cut parts from 5 sides. The sealant is applied to the joints of the seams around the perimeter.
Working process
Epoxy resin (about 600 gr.) Carefully mix with a stick in a glass and add a little white paint. Again, mix everything, fill it in a mold and set it to solidify at an angle of about 30 degrees. We take more resin (about 1900 gr.), Mix and add blue paint. We interfere, fill the rest of the form.
After solidification, remove the plastic and, applying the underside to a bar about 5 cm thick, mark the perimeter. Then, stepping back 0.5 cm inward, we mill the recess by 2 cm.
After we cut out the outer contour. We drill a hole on the side and saw off a cover 2 cm thick from the bottom of the base. We drill 2 more holes in the recess. Apply resin along the contour and glue to the bottom of the workpiece.
We grind our product on the machine. Grind the lid a little smaller. We grind the entire product with sandpaper and cover it with polishing paste.
We install 2 bulbs, the wires from which are sealed, put a switch in the side hole and solder wires to them to connect to the battery. We glue its base to the tree.
Glue small sticks to the lid that will keep it closed. We insert the battery and close the lid. Our lamp is ready. Now you can quickly make a beautiful and convenient lamp yourself. See the video for the detailed manufacturing process.
