A simple home-made stand for the countersink helps you quickly find the right diameter of the cutting tool, not to lose and correctly group them. To make such a stand, you will need a section of a square profile pipe, as well as a metal strip.

First of all, take a piece of pipe and grind the surface. Clamping in a vise, mark the places of future holes with a center punch, make indentations and drill holes with two thin holes on two opposite sides.

Then you need to change the drill to a larger size, suitable for a specific diameter of the core drills. We process the top holes with a vertical drill. To check whether the size of our holes is suitable, install a countersink in them. If you raise this stand, the countersinks fail. Therefore, you need to make the bottom of a strip of metal.

The main stages of work

Next, cut off a metal strip of the appropriate length. We weld 2 coasters to each other. We beat off the welding seam with a hammer, primer our coasters with a spray gun and paint from a spray can. Leave to dry for a while.

Homemade stand fits well on a shelf. The countersink is always in a conspicuous place, they are easy to take and put back. This storage method will help out in the garage, at home or in the country. This is how you yourself can make a simple and convenient stand from a profile pipe.

Such compact stands can also be made for drills, taps and other tools. To protect against dust at the ends of the profile, you can optionally install rubber or plastic plugs. See the video on the site for a detailed process.
