Having made a wall-mounted opener with a magnetic “trap” with your own hands, you will no longer have to collect the lids from the floor after you have opened the next bottle of lemonade or mineral water. And to make such a homemade product is very simple.

For a wall opener with a magnetic “trap” you will need a round magnet (can be removed from the old speaker), a metal bracket, as well as plywood, MDF or pieces of laminate to make an open housing for the wall opener.

First of all, cut off a rectangular piece of plywood or laminate, round off the edges with a grinder. Then we expose the metal bracket at the required height, mark the places for holes. After that we fasten the opener to two bolts with nuts.

The main stages of work

Around the middle of a rectangular blank of plywood or laminate, you will need to glue a round magnet. Moreover, for this it is better to use not ordinary quick-drying, but some kind of two-component adhesive. From above and below we fasten one wooden bar.

Actually, the bottle opener itself is ready. Now you need to determine for her a place on the wall or other vertical surface. We fasten the laminate board together with the bracket using self-tapping screws.

Now, opening the bottle with soda, the lid does not fall to the floor, but sticks to the center of the board (where the magnet is glued). For details on how to make a do-it-yourself wall opener with a magnetic “trap” for covers, see the video on the website.
