It's amazing what can sometimes be made from an old and rusty bicycle. Or rather, from its separate part - the steering wheel.
There is no way to drive motor-plows to the summer cottage? We will make it ourselves from the steering wheel of a bicycle, a metal pipe, a sheet of metal and three metal bars. This unusual shovel in shape is definitely useful in the country.
From the main tool we will need: an angle grinder (grinder), a welding machine, a hammer, a yew, and, of course, a little unhealthy imagination. Where without her.
The main stages of work
The first thing we do is cut the wheel off from the rest of the bike. We weld a bar 4-5 times shorter than the length of the pipe to a metal pipe (after having previously cleaned and prepared the surfaces to be welded).
We get something similar to the ancient Roman pilum. Sharpen the edge to sharpness (for easy entry into the soil).
In the next step, we weld the bike wheel to the pipe. Carefully boil the workpieces, since there is a possibility of burning the steering tube, since it is thinner than the pipe.
In the third step, we cut a sheet of metal with a thickness of at least 1.5-2 mm and dimensions of 30x40 cm. We roll a bar under the upper edge, which is equal to the larger side of the sheet. In this way we strengthen our so-called plow.
We set the shape of a semicircle to a sheet with a bar and weld it to the pipe, observing a tricky rule: the lower edge should not be lower than the weld of the pipe with the bar.
On the reverse side of the seam we weld a reinforcing piece of the bar. We sharpen our tool, and you can use it for our own benefit.
We recommend that you watch the detailed process of manufacturing an unusual shovel for giving from the steering wheel of a bicycle in a video on the website.
