You can make decorative decorations for your home or apartment with your own hands. Moreover, the materials for this will require the simplest.

For example, in this review, the author suggests making an original candle stand made of wood and concrete. To use such “contrasting” materials in the interior is a bold decision.

The first step is to form a rectangular formwork from concrete chipboard or plywood for pouring concrete.

The main stages of work

After you have prepared a solution of sand and cement, pour it into the formwork. Until the solution has set, we insert three segments from the wooden stick into it at an equal distance, having previously wrapped the electrical tape on the lower part of the inserts.

While the concrete "brick" hardens, the master proceeds to manufacture the base on which the concrete blank will be located. To do this, you need to make four blanks.

Details should be well sanded, rounding at the same time and sharp edges. Then the author glues them together, fixing them with clamps while the glue dries.

At the next stage, the base must be covered with stain or painted with acrylic paint. A “brick” of concrete is glued on top of the epoxy adhesive. And wooden inserts with electrical tape wound around them must be removed.
