In this review, the master shows the manufacturing process of a homemade air compressor based on a small grinder (angle grinder). It can be used to inflate wheels or, for example, to spray paint.
First of all, cut a piece of a round pipe, insert a bearing into it. Then cut another piece of pipe, but of a larger diameter.
After that, the author cuts a disk from a metal plate and welds it to the end of the pipe. The result is a glass. A ring with a bearing must be welded to the plate, and then two more holes should be drilled.
The main stages of work
At the next stage of the work, the author disassembles the old compressor and extracts the engine anchor from it.
Then we install the previously made “glass” on the compressor and fasten it to the body with screws. Next, cut a small piece from the corner and weld it to the “glass”.
The author cuts a rectangular base from a plate and drills holes in it. A compressor will need to be attached to this base.
From a piece of round bar it is necessary to make an adapter, which is fixed on the compressor shaft.
The author welds an extended nut to the adapter. Then you will need to weld the mount for the grinder to the base, and install the angle grinder itself.
