In this review, the author decided to give a second life to two objects at once: an ordinary old hammer with a rotted wooden handle and a broken hockey stick.
From this metal trash, the master will make a “hockey" hammer with the function of a nail clipper.
The first barrel remove the old wooden handle. Then it will be necessary to cut off two pieces of the profile pipe. At one of them, the author cuts off one wall and slightly flattenes the workpiece.
Then both pieces of the profile pipe must be welded together. The weld must be cleaned with a grinder with a petal or stripping disk.
The main stages of work
The resulting "stub" from the welded profile pipes must be inserted into the eye of the hammer and scald.
Over the eye of the hammer, the author welds a metal plate with a hole (mount or hinge for hinged shelves).
After that, it will be necessary to grind the hammer with a grinder to a shine.
At the next stage, the master cuts off a piece from a broken hockey stick. The master heats one edge of the profile pipe with a gas burner so that a hammer can be inserted into it.
In the upper part of the handle of the hammer you need to drill a hole and tighten the self-tapping screw with a press washer.
In order for the handle of the hammer to comfortably lie in the hand, it is necessary to glue a rubber sealant to its lower part. Then the author wraps it with duct tape on a fabric basis.
