A piggy bank for coins is a useful and very interesting thing in the household. Of course, the piggy bank can be purchased at the store, but making it yourself will be much cheaper - after all, all the necessary materials for its manufacture are literally at your fingertips. And the process of creating a piggy bank you really like.
So, what materials are needed to make a piggy bank for coins? High tin can (preferably from under fruits, rather than under pickled fish) seaming lid, colored paper and PVA glue.

Also required tools - a knife and a machine for spinning cans.

First, take the seaming lid and make a hole in its center (narrow slot) with a knife. So that the hole had to be strictly in the center of the lid, you should first measure the distance to it with a ruler. Although you can do without measurements, cutting a gap "by eye".

We turn the lid over and get rid of the gum that runs along its perimeter. The fact is that it is impossible to put a lid with an elastic on a tin can, due to the fact that the diameter of the latter is several millimeters larger than the diameter of the lid.

After the elastic is removed, the seaming lid is put on a jar without any problems. But the trouble is: the lid can be easily removed. And, as you know, the contents of the piggy bank should not be easily removed. Therefore, the tin can need to roll up using a machine for spinning cans. Do not overdo it with a twist, because from excessive efforts the lid will bend and you will have to start all over again.

Now the piggy bank is ready, but it can’t boast of an aesthetic appearance. Therefore, it should be decorated with colored paper. A sheet of paper is cut lengthwise so that its height matches the height of the piggy bank. Then the ends of the sheet are fastened with PVA glue.

A piggy bank from a can can accommodate more than one hundred coins. To extract money from the piggy bank, remove the cover from it with a regular opener. And if after that you roll up the tin can again, then the piggy bank will again be suitable for operation.
